It’s still masquerade and anniversary time although, with these little eye masks, it’s easy to tell who everyone is who walks into the gala room at the Genoa City Athletic Club. The red carpet walks in a small Wisconsin town are over and now it’s time to party.
The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are stunned when author Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) makes an appearance, but Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) is thrilled to see that Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is back for the second time in just a few months. With Paul Williams (Doug Davidson)missing in action now for several years, will something happen between Danny and Christine?
Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) doesn’t just reunite with the adult Abbott kids. She also sees her niece and nephew Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and hates how much the two cousins are at odds. Will she be able to repair some family damage?
Expect to see lots of flashbacks of years gone by that will bring tears to your eyes. Relive months with Danny and Chris, Victor and Nikki, and the Abbott siblings, as well as flashes right to the start of the soap with the Brooks and Foster families. At least we still have Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton)around for that.
We will also see the incomparable Jeanne Cooper as Katherine Chancellor and may even remember Danny and Gina Roma’s dad, Rex Sterling (Quinn Redekker).
Of course, that doesn’t mean we won’t see other stories lurch forward as Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is clearly jealous seeing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on the arm of Sharon Collins (Sharon Case), despite that she is with Nick Newman.
And what will Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) do in her quest to bring down Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters)? Probably a lot, as this is Phyllis we are talking about. Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) might just end up hurting way too many people, including Phyllis. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how these stories play out.
