Y&R Spoilers: Esther Valentine Gets Some Action

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease a fan fave is headed back to Genoa City.  According to Y&R comings and goings, Kate Linder is back on the CBS soap as Esther Valentine.

Sadly, it’s been quite a while since Y&R fans saw much of Esther.  Over the years viewers have often shared their feelings on social media about the lack of screen time Kate Linder gets.  What brings her back to The Young and the Restless this time?

According to Y&R comings and goings, Esther will be back on the canvas to share some scenes with her daughter Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

Spoilers for her visit are rather vague and tease that the mother will lean on her daughter for some assistance.

That’s the problem with The Young and the Restless writers shelving Kate Linder after forty years on the soap opera.

She’s not just Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) maid, she’s a legacy character and the mother of a main character.

Y&R Spoilers – Will Esther Valentine Stick Around?

Over the years the CBS soap has slowly and gradually fazed out a lot of the old crew and key players.

Remember when Jill Abbott had more than two or three lines a year?  And, let’s not get started on Doug Davidson and the demise of the iconic character Paul Williams.

Those are just a few examples of some fan faves we have lost over the years for no good reason.

Hopefully this is just the beginning of Kate Linder seeing some more air time.  We’re not asking for her to get her own love triangle or anything, but could we see her more than once a year?
