The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will strike back with forceful revenge after discovering Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) seduced her man. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) carries his blame as well to be sure, but it was Victoria who egged him on – Elena sets up a surprise meeting for Victoria!

Elena was just going to interview JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) for a podcast, talking about his recovery from a brain tumor that caused him to have erratic and abusive behavior. But after catching Nate and Victoria with their pants down, and knowing it was Victoria’s constant egging Nate on for sex, she knows she has to strike back. She just has to figure out how to arrange for JT and Victoria to meet without either one knowing it’s a set up – she hopes that Victoria will be triggered.

She is so angry she’s nearly off the rails and wants to inflict Victoria seeing JT, who she hasn’t seen for years nor known of his recovery with frightening memories. In fact, according to Elena’s research once JT was found and contacted, the Newmans fought against his parole and tried to contradict the medical findings showing he’d recovered.

Has Elena herself snapped-it’s so unlike patient, meek and mild Elena to want revenge on someone else; she, who wanted Nate to stay in medicine so he could help people! It seems more like Elena likes to control situations and people because she’s hiding a lack of control of herself-after all, this is the girl intimidated by a ghost. She demanded her former significant other, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) rid himself and his house of any semblance of his dead wife, Hilary Hamiton (Mishael Morgan). So now she wants to control the narrative by scaring Victoria away from Genoa City by letting her think JT has moved back and maybe wants her back!

Elena is having all kinds of fantasies about the sight of JT giving Victoria a heart attack or making her pack up and run, but the reality will likely be different. Chances are, at the sight of JT in town by even one member of the Newman family, the Newman machine would descend on the poor man for no reason. They fought his parole, they may fight to have it revoked, although there was nothing precluding his return to Genoa City or having contact with his ex-wife.

JT will do nothing but talk about his past and how far he’s come since that time with Elena. She almost feels guilty about a possible infliction of Victoria on him.
