Nate was forced out of practicing medicine because his cousin punched him in the face. That punch created a fall which caused Nate’s hand to shatter, and with that, his career as a surgeon was stolen from him.

Devon feels Nate has been retaliating against him ever since. Dominic’s character admitted to harboring a grudge. Yet, Devon’s complicity in the bad blood between them is undeniable.

Living in the now, Nate wants to build a new career in the business world. Victoria offers him that opportunity in more ways than one. Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is happy to keep Elena up to date on all things Nate and Victoria because she wants Hastings’ character for herself.

Abby is loyal to Devon. Her break from Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) involved divorce. The resulting coupling with Devon was something her ex-husband and others saw coming.

It seems unlikely that Devon would leave Abby and return to Elena. Devon and Abby are long-time friends and share something he and Elena do not, a child.

Yet, good soap is all about drama, not tranquility. So, fans will keep watching to see what happens on Y&R.
