Y&R Spoilers: Doug Davidson Joining Another Soap?

The Young and the Restless spoilers confirmed earlier this month that Doug Davidson was officially done at the CBS soap opera, and Paul Williams is no longer involved in any storyline in Genoa City.

While Davidson’s exit is still hazy and confusing, one thing is for sure, he did not want to leave.  Is The Young and the Restless alum going to join another soap opera?

Doug Davidson has not appeared on Y&R in three years, despite being one of the longest running cast members on the soap.  Rumor has it Y&R couldn’t afford to keep Davidson on as a lead character.

But, things got a little strange when Davidson was basically begging the writers for scenes on social media and still was not put back on the screens.

Longtime The Young and the Restless viewers even petitioned the network to bring Paul Williams back to no avail.  It seems like there’s definitely more to the story, but the jury is still out on what that could be.

Davidson made it very clear to fans that it was not his decision to leave Y&R, and seems genuinely upset.  It seems like the actor very much wants to get back to work, will another soap scoop up the opportunity?

The Bold and the Beautiful works hand in hand with The Young and the Restless, so Doug is most likely not heading there.

However, General Hospital or Days of Our Lives would be thrilled to have the daytime legend.  Look how many of Davidson’s former co-stars traveled to Port Charles and were met with open arms.
