Y&R Spoilers: Diane WINS – Phyllis Tagged As The Rat

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) wife. She is also Jabot’s Chief Talent Officer, with whatever that invented title means but what Diane accomplished is sharply defined.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson) created a pact when Diane returned from the great beyond. But their pact backfired badly, with Diane appearing to be a targeted victim.

Jack is in love with Diane and has completely forgiven her past and more recent misdeeds. Cavorting with Tucker McCall (now played by Trevor St. John), framing Nikki for the fake murder, and threatening to kill Phyllis mean nothing.

The subject header is a question many characters can not answer. But love is not logic. Diane let Jack believe that she was dead. That forced him to unknowingly further her death hoax to their then-young son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Kyle was naturally devastated, believing he lost his mother. Jack upheld his parental role but later faced competition from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) during a period when the young adult version of Kyle experienced malaise.

Jack was initially outraged when Diane announced herself as alive in Los Angeles, California. But Kyle’s forgiveness opened the daytime door to Jack doing the same.

Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Is Consistent

Diane was forthright when she owned up to her crimes. Telling Kyle and Jack that she was in a dark mental place was truthful and also provided a forgiveness path both men could accept.

She endured the anticipated chiding from multiple enemies and stayed the course. The old Diane would not have been as self-effacing, but she knows that approach is necessary based on what she did.

Kyle and Jack are grateful Diane is alive because of their unbreakable feelings. That is a point Phyllis and the others who despise her can not accept.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Reverts To Self-Sabotage

Phyllis received an unexpected gift when the judge allowed her to avoid a jail sentence. Escaping justice for faking her death and framing Diane for murder was monumental.

But weeks later Phyllis found herself in another moral quandary. She owed the life insurance company two million dollars and was unable to find where Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) stashed the money.

Stafford’s character does not know Diane is aware Jack and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) suspect Phyllis is working with Tucker.

She better hope Diane does not inject herself into this situation because more recent events imply that she could make Phyllis look like a rat again on Y&R.
