Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may be having second thoughts about making a deal with the devil — aka Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and faking her own death, but it seems to be a means to an end. It looks like Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has been set up but will anyone really believe the evidence?

Well, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) sure seems to as he finds new evidence and it has Diane’s name all over it. When Chance questions Diane, she is shocked and doesn’t quite know what to say. Will Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) believe she was set up or will he start to get suspicious of the woman Phyllis has been trying to bring down for more than a year?

Meanwhile, Phyllis stays one step ahead of everyone else. While she appears to be bothered that her children are suffering, it’s not bothering her enough to reveal herself. She is on a mission and has to see it through. And yes, part of her does feel a bit of an ego trip knowing how much some people loved her in the (fake) end. So, she is not about to reveal herself now when she is so close to getting exactly what she really wants.
