Y&R Spoilers: Devon Alarmed As Nate Targets Lily’s Job In Her Absence

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) may find out that his reservations about bringing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) back to Chancellor-Winters may be justified.

However, Devon has decided to give him one last chance for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Will Nate repay her by going after her job?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton-Winters Does Not Trust Nate Hastings

The Young and The Restless spoilers reveal that Devon still doesn’t trust Nate no matter how much he professes to have changed.

Lily has her reservations as well but she wants to give Nate the benefit of the doubt, especially with Mamie Johnson (Veronica Reed) wanting to reunite the family and have them working together.

Devon has agreed to go along with this on one condition. If Nate hurts Lily again, he is out of the company and their lives.

Devon is determined to keep an eye on Nate in case he does try something because Nate is way too ambitious to be trusted, he proved that when he tried to help Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) take over the company.

Y&R Spoilers – Good Intentions Aren’t Always Enough

Nate may start out with the best of intentions and content with his job as the new head of contact and development. This seems to be a perfect fit for Nate with all of the ideas he always has in his head.

Nate never believed that Devon took any of his ideas seriously before but now he almost has to at least consider them. Unfortunately, this may also be where greed takes over.

Nate is power-hungry and always has been. The fact that Lily is out of town could pose another issue. After all, with Lily on a possibly extended leave, Nate could make a power play and try to take Lily’s job.

Just look at what Nate did at Newman Enterprises. Nate sure took over Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) job fast enough, didn’t he?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings May Step In To Help

Nate could very well step up and start taking up the slack, especially if Lily’s trip gets extended. Before Lily knows it, Nate could be sitting in her chair, doing her work while she’s none the wiser of his moves.

Nate is a smooth operator and could make it look like he is just trying to help before betraying everyone once again without a second thought.

Hopefully, Devon is watching closely enough to see exactly what Nate is doing and stop him in his tracks. Nate probably wants to be Devon’s equal at the company if not take it over completely and someone needs to reign him in.

Can Nate be stopped before he tries to take over Chancellor-Winters? Will Devon put on the breaks before Nate takes Lily’s job?
