Now that Lily has left town to be with Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) because of a wildfire on her school campus, is Daniel suddenly fair game?

Apparently, this is the beginning of Christel’s maternity leave so she can be expected to be gone for some time. In some cases, absence makes the heart grow fonder but in this case, it could become the old adage, out of sight, out of mind.

Daniel could certainly occupy his time by spending more time with Lucy but the two of them are not likely to leave Heather out of their plans, it just doesn’t seem far.

Daniel may also tell Lily that he is spending time with both Lucy and Heather so he feels it is ok. But what happens when those old feelings start rushing back?

Daniel could easily grow closer to Heather because there are no obstacles between them like Daniel worrying that he cannot provide for his family. Daniel has gotten himself together and is more confident than ever.

Of course, Phyllis will be around to push them together as much as possible too because that is what she believes mothers are for.

Daniel and Heather could be growing closer as time goes on without acting on their feelings immediately.

After all, Heather would already have Daniel back if she had her way so he is likely to put up some resistance because of his feelings for Lily.
