Y&R Spoilers: Daniel And Summer Worry About Phyllis’s Mental Health

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Romalotti, Jr (Michael Graziadei) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will worry about how Diane Jenkins’s (Susan Walters) is affecting their mother, Phyllis Summers’s (Michelle Stafford) mental health. They fear that her obsession with running Diane out of town is starting to affect her.

Phyllis, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) devised a plan to run Diane out of town. But it backfired, as Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) decided to shield Diane from any backlash from the trio.

Nikki decided to bow out and accept that Diane isn’t going anywhere. Ashley expressed her concerns but wasn’t comfortable with bringing in Jeremy Stark to drive Diane away. However, Phyllis proved that she would stoop to any level to drive her enemy out of Genoa City, even if it meant she lost Jack forever.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers– Daniel Romalotti, Jr  Updates Phyllis Summers About Summer Newman’s Position

Last week (week of January 2), Summer confided in Daniel about Diane. She revealed that she could not stand how manipulative her mother-in-law is, but her hands are tied as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) seems oblivious to his mother’s deceit. So, she has just to keep quiet or risk imploding her marriage.

On Monday’s episode (January 9), Phyllis meets with Daniel to discuss the gaming platform team. Young and the Restless spoilers state that Phyllis seems distracted. Daniel finally asks his mom what’s going on with her.

Phyllis expresses anger toward Summer for not taking her side with Diane. She cries as she says she feels betrayed and all alone. Daniel reveals that Summer talked to him and feels the same way Phyllis does, but she’s trying to protect her marriage. Daniel made her swear to keep that between them, as Summer wouldn’t want him disclosing that information to her.

What Phyllis’s children don’t realize, their mother won’t have to do anything to drive her out of town. Once Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) learns of Diane’s plan to steal from Nikki, Diane will have a big problem on her hands.
