Since Sally and Nick are “together”, things would run very smoothly if the good Newman brother was the baby’s father. If Adam is the father of Sally’s baby, and he learns about her pregnancy, this would provide him with some hope that the two could rekindle their romance, someday.

Adam’s need to be a full father to this new baby will add conflict to the Nally relationship. He’ll insist on supporting her the entire way. He lost so much time with Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) that he’ll do all he can to make up for it with this new baby.

He’ll want to go to appointments, set Sally and his baby in a real home (not a hotel), and likely show a softer side to himself. Adam may not be the perfect boyfriend or husband, but he is a dedicated father. With that said, because Nick is raising his other son, Adam will be that much more adamant to be involved in all of his new child’s life. Could this sway Sally’s affections away from Nick and toward Adam? The two parents will undeniably bond.
