Audra got off on the wrong foot with the Newman family because she is Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) ex. However, he did resolve his differences with her after she revealed the miscarriage of the baby, he did not know she was expecting when they were in Europe.

Working under Nikki was not Audra’s preferred option. But flexibility was demanded as Audra was demoted from Newman Media’s Chief Executive Officer to that division’s top staff member.

Claire had her interview pitch down pat. She was unflappable, demonstrating her knowledge of the company and mentioning a friend whose family Nikki knows and likes.

Audra recognized the soapy contrast to Claire made her look bad. But at this point in the plot, she does not see Erin’s new character as a true threat.

Of course, Claire has an unexplored backstory. That is sure to play into her daytime journey in Genoa City, Wisconsin, with Claire’s aim likely not being to remain an assistant forever.

Adam loves Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). While she retains feelings for him, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the man she wants to love, marry, and have children with.

One change agent that could help Adam catch Sally’s eye or push her to make a decision could involve him becoming friends with Claire. Adam is trying to will himself to be a better person, so it is possible that he will not use Claire as a jealousy weapon.

Alternatively, Claire might fall for Adam or go for Nick. Either effort could spark a classic romantic triangle scenario on Y&R.
