It may be hard for devoted fans to imagine that it has been nearly thirty years since Cricket (Danny’s pet name for Christine) and Damian’s characters split for good. Phyllis targeted Danny, who was a major rock star at that time in the plot.

Phyllis claimed Danny was the father of her son, naming him Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). But that claim was a lie as everyone came to know and deeply detested. However, Danny and Daniel’s bond persists to this day.

Viewers are wondering if Davidson will be afforded the courtesy of a sendoff where the actor appears. He debuted on Y&R in 1978 and was one of the show’s leading men for decades.

TPTB have never confirmed why Davidson’s character was slowly written out of the show. Speculation abounds, with the actor offering some insight on his social media page.

Regardless of whatever the backstory may be, the fans adore Davidson and remain hopeful that he will eventually return to the cast, even if Paul simply says goodbye. So, time will tell if that happens during the upcoming storyline that ties into Damian’s return in late September.

Christine detailed Paul’s retirement as Genoa City, Wisconsin’s Police Chief. She noted that he moved to Portugal, where his daughter, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom), was then living.

Bell, whose parents co-founded Y&R, debuted on the show in 1983. Christine sporadically appears as she is again GC’s District attorney.

Phyllis recently faced off against Christine in court and surprisingly earned a legal clearance when a judge was lenient. While no closure could be had with Christine’s nemesis, personal closure with Paul feels imminent. That development would open a natural door to rediscovering love with Danny on Y&R.
