Adam’s loathing of Billy instantly disqualifies him as a suitable romantic match for Chelsea. That viewpoint reinforces another trait Grossman’s character shares with the Moustache, though he might not acknowledge it.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) was projected as Billy’s next wife and possibly the mother of his next child. But that likable pairing has been nixed in recent months to enable Billy and Chelsea to explore romance.

However, Adam, like his family, learned there are people in life who are unavailable. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) seems to be in that category, with the audience knowing the paternity of the child she is carrying could alter Adam’s reality.

If Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the father of Sally’s child, then Adam will look to Chelsea for support. Billy is Chelsea’s current choice. That creates a classic soapy conflict no matter the paternity result on Y&R.
