Y&R Spoilers: Chelsea Elated, Diane Miffed-Beats Her Out For Marchetti Job?

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be surprised when older brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) offers him a job. Billy’s offered Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) job which could lead to him arranging an offer for Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) since they both need jobs.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Needed A Break

Billy found himself tired and bored of the corporate world, and that’s why he left ChancComm, now Chancellor-Winters. As for Chelsea, she previously turned down a plum designing job at Marchetti and it was filled by someone else. But since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was fired from Marchetti’s new home division, that leaves an opening to be filled.

If Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) can transfer her dress design skills to home fashion, why not Chelsea? For Billy, it’s coming home to a family business and he should be able to help his best friend out when he gets settled in.

Y & R Spoilers – Fresh Starts For Both

The Young and the Restless spoilers show Billy and Chelsea can use fresh starts, and Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Michael Mealor, Allison Lanier) were once quite fond of Chelsea and her talents. And if they opted to put Chelsea in Phyllis’ old position, they could save themselves some family friction and drama – Diane might be miffed that Chelsea gets the job instead.

But that’s nothing compared to the friction that would happen if Diane was chosen to replace Phyllis, and Chelsea is more of a neutral choice here. Besides, right now Diane has much bigger problems to worry about with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) back in Genoa City and it may be difficult for her to focus on work. Plus, work would be good for Chelsea; she needs to keep her mind off of problems and if she were under the Jabot-Marchetti umbrella, Billy could keep an eye on her.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Creativity Can Be A Good Outlet

Most creative people know that creativity can be a good emotional outlet, just like sports minded people work out their frustrations in sports or punching bags, like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Billy will be able to focus on the corporate grind a little better not worrying about how Chelsea’s getting along, since she’ll be nearby in the same building. They’ll be able to likely do breaks and work lunches together and it can be arranged for her work hours to be the same as Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) lunch hours.

That way Chelsea won’t be distracted worrying about her son and Billy won’t be distracted worrying about her. It seems like the perfect situation for both of them.
