Y&R Spoilers: Chance Warns Summer – Help Find Phyllis Or Face Charges

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) warns Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that she’s playing with fire by protecting her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Chance doesn’t want to see Summer in legal trouble but doesn’t see another way if she doesn’t help him locate her mom.

Phyllis’s fake death scandal blew up Summer’s life. She lied to protect her mother from going to jail and left Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in jail for Phyllis’s death. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) found out and asked Summer to move out. Summer’s life is a mess, and she has no one to blame but herself.

Chance informs Summer that unless she helps him locate her mother, she will likely face charges for her part in concealing Phyllis’s whereabouts. Y&R spoilers say that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) wants to charge her with obstruction of justice unless she agrees to force her mom to turn herself in. Summer feels conflicted about the issue. While she understands it’s time for her mother to face the music, she doesn’t want her mom to face legal charges. She still believes there is a way for Phyllis to return to her life and remain out of prison.

Y&R Spoilers – Will Summer Newman Help Chance Find Phyllis Summers?

Summer must help Chance locate Phyllis. If she doesn’t, she faces prison time. She agrees to help Chance. However, she wants him to ensure that her mother’s past with Christine won’t be a factor in her case.

It certainly won’t help matters that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) learns about Phyllis’s scheme and comes unglued. He cannot believe that his ex-wife put their daughter in the line of fire. He’s never known Phyllis to turn her back on her children. The whole situation confuses him.

Summer decides to work with Chance to force her mother to turn herself in. Summer doesn’t know that Phyllis reaches out to Michael Baldwin (Christian Leblanc) to help her clear her name. He vows to find the EMT, hoping that will clear her name and remove the threat of legal charges against Summer.
