Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is riding a high wave. He decided to jump ship from Jabot to Chancellor-Winters and feels quite confident about his choice.

After all, the “high” he was getting at the thought of bringing Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) down with the rest of the Abbotts felt as toxic as his gambling issues back in the day. But could he end up crashing and burning?

Y&R Spoilers: What Is Billy Abbott’s Legacy?

Y&R spoilers state that Billy recently revealed to gal pal Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) that he was struggling with “his legacy” and sense of purpose.

He often gets like this now and again, reflecting on the “meaning of life”, which is never a good sign. It can be the calm before the storm for Billy-boy, and he has been known to spiral in the past when he gets like this.

Another red flag is the fact that Billy offered to be Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) mentor, and the former cop declined, as he has “heard the stories” about Abbott’s corporate past. Could Chance’s response be foreshadowing something down the line?

Y&R Spoilers: Billy’s Downfall At Chancellor-Winters

Currently, Billy is temporarily filling in for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as co-CEO of CW, while she helps her daughter get back on her feet.

Still, he could easily make a couple of bad mistakes and get demoted. As he’s riding a high wave, Abbott is quite confident, which could lead him to make some risky decisions.

As he pointed out recently, with great risk comes great reward, but also a chance of failure. If he makes a bad move or two, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) won’t think twice about replacing him.

If she decides to demote her son and promote Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), or Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) insists upon it, then things could get ugly for Billy.
