The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been obsessing about Jabot’s future.

He has become convinced that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will be promoted to an even higher position in the company.

Her Chief Talent Officer slot was invented. She conceived of the position and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) readily endorsed it.

Billy’s place as co-Chief Executive Officer became tenuous when Jack opted to marry Diane. From that moment Billy’s future in the family business seemed destined to be short.

Diane realized her family. After spending years posing as Taylor Jensen, while she was pretending to be dead and living in Los Angeles, California, Walters’ character decided that she had to reclaim her life.

Associating with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) was thrilling at first. But his charm wore off when Diane realized he was using her as a money laundering mule.

Digitally skipping to the present day in the plot, Diane would not mind having her family, including her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), all under the Jabot roof again.

But that likely would mean Billy’s forced ouster.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is The Eternal Screw-Up

Billy believed that returning to Jabot was right at this time in his life. Kyle’s departure was followed by Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) short stint as Jack’s executive compliment.

Jack was thrilled when an off-handed comment about Billy rejoining the business was taken as an offer.

Billy was serious about wanting to help Jack protect the family business.

Intriguingly, Billy does believe that Diane loves Jack. But he feels her background is not suited for high-level business decision-making and that Jack’s love blindness has put Jabot in a dangerous position.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Sees Switch Potential

Jack recently realized a legitimate truce with his oldest sister, Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson).

While he has not budged on her second-time husband, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), Jack is sincere about not wanting to fight.

Ashley has backed off on Diane following the life-saving abdominal thrust she applied to her at Society.

Having her life saved made an impression on Ashley that can not be dismissed.

With Ashley off the hit list, Billy’s ongoing critiques about Diane are getting under Jack’s skin to an increasing degree.

Kyle’s tenuous place at Newman Media implies that his position could be restored at Jabot, with Billy potentially shown the daytime door on Y&R.
