Y&R Spoilers: Audra’s Committed To Tucker – Jabot Takeover Fails?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) is performing a high-wire act. She intends to work for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), make her believe she is following her advice, while also remaining tied to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to keep her career options open.

According to Y&R spoilers, Audra appeared to play along with Nikki when Tucker arrived at Society. He wanted to talk with her privately, but she said it was not possible and followed her mentor.

Viewers know that Audra is a master game player, having honed her trade at McCall Unlimited. So, the apparent dismissal of Tucker was just an act.

Nikki has good insight, which is one of many reasons her husband tasked her with heading Newman Media. That relatively newly acquired division of the company has endured numerous leaders in recent months, with Audra being the last.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) sees his media arm as necessary to promote the Newman Enterprises brand, which boils down to whatever his measured whims are.

Installing Nikki as the boss means that his message will get across to whoever is working under her, like Audra and now, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

Audra knows that she is under the soapy microscope because she went from debuting as Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) ex to now being the woman who was cavorting with Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) husband.

If Audra remains loyal to Nikki, she could lose access to Tucker. His vindictive personality type requires compliance and submission, and, like Victor, he operates on various whims.

However, if Audra retains her ties to Tucker, as a safeguard against being potentially axed by Nikki on any day of the week, then what Silver’s character is trying to prevent could be willed into existence or provoked into happening.

The gist of Audra’s persona is that she is not trustworthy. Only Tucker finds that appealing because of his snake-like demeanor, which includes plans to take over Jabot.

Tucker is working a ruse. He wants to create diversions. So, the Abbott family believes it has him pegged.

But it appears possible that Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) may have partnered with Tucker for reasons that are not yet clear. Yet, that alliance would not seem to fit Mamie’s allegiance to the late John Abbott (Jerry Douglas).

If Tucker is working alone, then he will need his only trusted ally, Audra, as part of the plan to seize control of Jabot on Y&R.
