Y&R Spoilers: Ashley’s Two-Fold Solution – Tucker Realizes Both Dreams?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) made an offer she hopes solves multiple problems in Genoa City, Wisconsin. She told Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to ask Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to purchase the debt Ashley bought.

That plan has legs because it allows Ashley to see if Tucker is sincere about wanting to change his life. She could encourage a repairing of the fractured relationship between Tucker and Devon and possibly, with possibly being the key word, give St. John’s character another opportunity to prove himself to her.

Ashley created a scenario where she is trying to help someone who has proven incapable of helping himself. That is what Tucker has needed for years because he does not have relationship skills.

By obtaining Tucker’s debt, Ashley puts herself in a position to make a tidy profit and remain connected to the man she once loved. A shift is possible if she can facilitate reconciliation between Tucker and his son.

Ashley knows she still loves Tucker and knows his feelings for her are genuine. She wants to help him break from his devious and self-serving pattern.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton A Hard Sell?

Tucker had issues with his biological father in the past. But helping Devon address his hearing loss was a watershed moment in time.

Devon was not at odds with Tucker during his extended time away from GC. While curious about his father’s reasons for returning to town, and without warning, James’ character was not opposed to Tucker being back.

However, learning Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) was planted as a moll at Chancellor-Winters made Tucker look like he was lying about having changed and not wanting to cause trouble. Viewers will see if Devon shares Ashley’s insight in believing Tucker wants to do right but does not know how.

Tucker is teased to follow Ashley’s advice and ask Devon to buy her debt. That, in effect, proves he is willing to defer to his love’s wishes to reset his life.

Step two would involve Devon accepting Tucker’s pitch. Devon could do so by accepting Jill Abbott Atkinson’s (Jess Walton) money, with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) plan to buy him out of CW then realized.

Devon can use CW’s capital to partner with Tucker in McCall Unlimited. That arrangement would allow Devon to work with a father like he did when he and his adoptive father, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), founded the Hamilton-Winters Group Y&R.
