The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson) is enjoying a honeymoon period after remarrying Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

She is also enjoying a truce with her brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Viewers are wondering, as Ashley might be herself if the truce will be extended to her sister-in-law, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).

Of course, Diane responded to Ashley choking on a grape at Society. That happened because Davidson’s character was attempting to be a smart aleck.

Ashley was not putting on an act when she began choking at her daughter’s popular restaurant.

She was not able to swallow a grape because it was not chewed.

Diane did fake her death years ago when the son she and Jack had was young. Walters’ character left Genoa City, Wisconsin, and eventually landed in Los Angeles, California.

She lived under an assumed name, Taylor Jensen, until last year when she decided to let her existence on the earth be known.

The intensity of Ashley’s distrust for Diane increased since she moved back to GC. The fallout included Ashley and Jack’s sibling connection being badly damaged.

Y&R Spoilers – Tucker McCall Urges His Wife To Chill

Tucker has transformed his own since returning to town. He left GC after Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) died on bad terms with Ashley.

Hardcore viewers recall and newer viewers learned that Tucker fooled around with Diane when he was originally married to Ashley.

Ashley was so devastated by the break in trust that she never remarried. Tucker’s return produced outward agitation and an attempt at indifference.

But as the storyline developed, Ashley and Tucker restored their love and trust.

Along with the reconciliation and as part of Tucker’s desire to change, he has been encouraging Ashley to steer clear of Diane and to avoid conflict at Jabot.

Diane may have saved Ashley’s life. It is impossible to know if someone else at Society would have performed the Heimlich maneuver, though Ashley is unsure what happened and is still referred to by the term.

While society plays its word games, Ashley appears to have gotten beyond wanting to set up Jack and Diane.

Following Tucker’s advice and using the patents Jack returned to her as a gift on her remarriage day, Simply Ashley is projected as her new business venture and Ashley living a simpler life appears possible on Y&R.
