Y&R Spoilers: Adam’s Protective Instincts Reemerge – Sharon’s Relationship With Chance Challenged?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reestablished regular contact with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) by agreeing to his father’s Audustus directive. That is happening at a point in the plot when she and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) are becoming a couple.

Adam and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will run the former McCall Unlimited with Sharon. She is part of the trio because Victor liked her idea to merge the company, which she inherited from the demented admirer she was forced to kill in self-defense, Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).

Nick is in love with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who appears likely to be joining Newman Enterprises as well. That leaves Adam as Sharon’s leading self-appointed defender, with Chance being looked at with skepticism.

It has been a while in soap-time since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) tragically died. Sharon’s beloved husband was a great guy and will forever have a place in her heart and life.

Chance bonded with Sharon because he was Rey’s protege. Floyd’s character was promoted to Genoa City, Wisconsin’s lead detective status by the since retired Chief of Police, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson).

Sharon’s storyline is developing with business and personal interests expanding rapidly. So, inserting Adam directly into that mix naturally means drama is ahead.

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Is Also Rebounding

Chance was treated shabbily by his wife, Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway). Neither he nor Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) knew Abby and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) felt about each other until they were discovered by their instant exes cavorting on the sofa in the penthouse.

Floyd’s character caught Abby in warm situations with Devon on numerous occasions. Chance was hurt and initially angry. But he quickly came to terms with what happened because of the tie Abby and Devon share through their son, Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware).

Sharon has been an increasing object of Chance’s affection in recent months. So, the emergence of their romantic connection happened naturally.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Can Not Live On Work Alone

Adam knows that the miscarriage and Sally’s switch to Nick in the recent past means his connection to her is done. Adam wants to focus on work as a way to deal with the personal trauma he has endured.

Losing Sally to Nick was hard. Adam knows that Sharon has not been in love with him in years. Seeing her start a relationship with Sharon is not about a rivalry for her affection but more about protective instincts.

But since Sharon is just starting to fall for Chance there is a chance (wink intended) for that coupling to falter. If so and Adam remains single, it is plausible to project Grossman’s character making a renewed push for Sharon, who was his most electric love on Y&R.
