The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is devastated. The little girl he and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) expected to have was lost. As his father witnessed, Adam’s initial reaction was to blame himself for all that goes wrong.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has made inroads with Adam in the past year-plus. Newman Media appeared to be a good starting point to rebuild trust. But the Moustache felt it best to sell that stand-alone company to Newman Enterprises.

Adam believed and still does, that he is best suited to lead the global corporation Victor founded. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is seen as an unworthy placeholder.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sally Spectra Lashes Out

One of Sally’s biting comments included her telling Adam that he was wrong. She said that he told her rest would allow their baby to remain safe and that was not the result.

Sally also told Adam that he was responsible for their expected daughter to have died. She felt unworthy to be alive and was overcome by the emotion of the moment, as Adam was.

Adam still loves Sally deeply. So, it is natural he would be deeply affected by her terse opinions about an infinitely sensitive topic.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Distracted By Perceived Love

Victoria had her heart broken and was publicly humiliated by Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) dramatic death. It came after he went berserk and seemed intent on killing her.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) thankfully arrived in time to defend his oldest sister. He likely saved her life. But, in typical Newman fashion, she sees many things as transactional.

So, only months after the above, Victoria is teased to replace Nick with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). It will be presented as giving Nick some time to deal with the double trauma he is facing.

Needing to console Sally and recover from his confrontation with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) provides Victoria with the ability to elevate her newest love within the family business.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Rises Again?

Adam has held various positions within Newman Enterprises through the years. He arrived in Genoa City, Wisconsin, as a hotshot with his father’s full endorsement. That sparked sibling rivalries with Victoria, Nick, and to some extent, Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway).

Victor told Adam that he is not alone after they spoke about his expected daughter dying. That, combined with Braeden’s character keeping a close eye on Victoria’s latest relationship, implies change at the top could be in the cards.

For the moment, Adam is heading McCall Unlimited. But an eventual fold into Newman Enterprises would bring him back into the fold. It would not be inconceivable to see Victor give Victoria the same type of break she is giving Nick later this year, with Adam becoming her replacement on Y&R.
