Sally came on too harshly when telling Adam that he was a father again. She responded like that because of the wildly undisciplined and disrespectful behavior he injected into her life.

While Sally was initially gaga over Adam, she realized his reputation, which preceded him by a million miles, was well-earned. Adam was someone she fell in love with initially. But the reality of being connected to him proved unappealing.

However, Sally can not dictate conditions to Adam about his daughter or son. Adam is respectful because he realizes Sally does not need to be stressed during the pregnancy. But he plans to be fully involved in their child’s life.

Adam knows he can go to Chelsea and receive needed, pointed advice. That happened during a recent conversation where she set Adam straight about current issues in his life.

Adam’s conversation with Nick at Crimson lights proved to be an eye-opener for his brother and the audience. Grossman’s character was serious when telling Nick that he intends to be respectful of the relationship he has with Sally.

Chelsea would be Adam’s default if she were not connected to Billy. But that burgeoning friendship leaves no room for Adam. He does not like that dynamic, mostly because Billy is the new man in Chelsea’s life.

Billy and Adam will never be okay with each other. Billy has attempted to distract himself by blaming Adam for Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) accidental death since learning the apparent truth about that dark and deadly night.

Adam despises Billy for many reasons, including the genetic tie he believes Thompson’s character is exploiting. Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) has become a renewed bonding source for Billy and Chelsea.

Chelsea is open to possibilities with Billy. In her mind, Adam is yesterday’s romance, giving Billy momentum on Y&R.
