Y&R Spoilers: Adam On The Right Track – Victor Provides Victoria With Inside Information

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) told his father that he has his vision for McCall Unlimited. Adam wants to retract the global conglomeration and focus on one area, media.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) did not accept Adam’s terms. He never explicitly said he would keep his hands off the business he purchased with his funds for Adam to run.

The Moustache wanted to secure the deal, have Adam agree to run what was Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) business, and then wait for an opportunity to demonstrate why his seasoned opinion was worthwhile.

Victor created Newman Media as a make-work project for Adam. It was also a make-good venture.

Adam succeeded beyond his expectations. But Victor had his back, generally, let his youngest son run things, and felt good about the direction the business was taking.

However, Victor also sold the business to Newman Enterprises, which put Adam under Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) thumb. That was unsustainable and led to Adam leaving the company and telling Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) that he never loved her.

Grossman’s character did not mean what he said and was trying to preserve Sally’s spot in the business. Adam practiced relationship self-sabotage, as Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has also experienced.

Y&R Spoilers – McCall Unlimited Is A New Opportunity

Victor could repeat history and eventually sell McCall Unlimited to Victoria. But that does not seem likely soon because Victor does not want Adam and Victoria battling each other.

Adam’s intention of making selling off McCall Unlimited’s underperforming divisions and using that capital to bolster its media division was not what Victor wanted to hear. Braeden’s character knew that approach would pit Adam against Victoria.

Victor told his son not to pursue that angle. But Adam appears intent on doing so, which will cause his father to either block his efforts and risk him leaving or allow him to proceed and wait for Victoria to engage.

Victoria underestimates her youngest brother. Victor also believes she is distracted by her relationship with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Victor told Victoria that Adam intends to use McCall Unlimited to target Newman Media. That is one of the challenges of owning both businesses. Yet, Victor has the right to tell those who work for him whatever he wants.

Most importantly, Victor is Victoria and Adam’s father. In his mind, he has their best interests at heart on Y&R.
