The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that the old Adam Newman has returned. Fans are debating as to whether he really has changed. Some argued that he’s back to his old ways, while others see character development.

It all started when the user Carson1 posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Adam has changed. Adam is back to his old ways.

He has not changed for the better. He now wants to bargain with Jack for information on Tucker.

It may backfire if Nate finds out he tells Jack about Audra’s coverup when she was working at Tucker’s company. Nate will tell Victoria or Victor and Adam will be up again.”

Y&R fans took to the thread to debate as to whether Adam has changed.

One user agreed: “You’re right. The old Adam wouldn’t shake Jack down for money. It’s a shame what they have done to this character.” Another user noted: “Adam is not shaking down Jack at all! And Jack never once acted like he was threatened by him!”

“It’s so obvious that JG has been highly invested in Adam. Every time he returns as the HW he will focus on Adam (or Chelsea). That being said, in the last ten years other than Adam being a father, we did not see much character development with him.”

The original user noted that his character has been stuck in a loop when it comes to his family.

Fans would like to see him thrive outside the Newman. They wish the character to interact with his friend Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) more.

“I liked where Adam was before Chloe blew him up. He was confident, happy, and didn’t need the Newmans for affirmation,” one user noted.
