The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the father of the child Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is having. It is their daughter, with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) having no direct connection to her.

However, Nick’s love for Sally is undeniable, enduring, and something she completely values. Becoming pregnant and confirming that her most recent love before Nick holds paternity rights did not change Sally’s outlook. Nick continues to be her guy.

The double vision Sally experienced at Chancellor Park was the first symptom she experienced. It led to a trip to the doctor and a preeclampsia diagnosis.

The high blood pressure condition, which also includes high levels of protein in urine, can be managed during pregnancy. But Sally may not be relieved of these issues until she delivers the baby later this summer.

Natural cause for concern existed. So, Sally called Nick and could not get a response. Adam was her second choice, as is true in her heart.

Adam may not have responded so well in his younger days. But time and experience with relationships and, importantly, being a father created a level of maturity.

Nick has noticed that Adam is behaving respectfully. While cautious, he looks at his younger brother with less suspicion and slightly more respect.

More noteworthy were Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) comments. She was surprised to be impressed by her long-time nemesis, telling Adam that he stepped up for Sally and it was appreciated.

Being involved with the two Newman brothers would cause any lady stress. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) know that as well as anyone who is alive. The late Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan), Christian Newman’s (Alex Wilson) mother, also lived through that daytime dynamic.

Sally is handling the precarious position she, Nick, and Adam put themselves into. Nick was very cautious before becoming fully involved with Sally, knowing he still held deep feelings for him. But Sally assured him that Adam represented the past.

Because this trio is in Genoa City, Wisconsin, stress points will continue to arise in the plot. But hopefully, Nick and Adam will keep working together for the best interests of the baby and her mother, Sally, on Y&R.
