The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and his older sister, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), have been clashing for months. They do not like each other’s revived romantic choices and are also playing power games at Jabot.

Jack has fallen back in love with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), who became involved with Tucker McCall (now played by Trevor St. John) years ago. Ashley’s retro romance with Tucker naturally creates tension between Diane and Jack.

Meanwhile, the other Abbott siblings, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) have been trying to massage the situation, so it does not become an all-out family war in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Billy’s role as Jack’s co-Chief Executive Officer filed a void when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) opted to resign because he realized his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), was right about there being no future for a Newman in the Abbott’s business world.

Billy’s tell to Jack about Ashley’s intent to remove him as co-CEO was a flashpoint. Bergman’s character does not intend to be pushed out. Instead, he plans to promote Diane to a prominent position and fight with her by his side.

Soaps are loved because devoted viewers know the characters and their history. So, fans are enjoying a series of storylines that have welcomed back favorite characters from days gone by.
