The CBS soap is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Y&R is the number one rated daytime drama and the show is recognizing the feat of being on the air for 50 years by incorporating a fun masked ball storyline.

At least it’s been fun so far—there will be a nasty surprise coming down the road!

This week fans will thrill to see Tricia Cast return as Nina Webster. Nina is Christine Wiliams’ (Lauralee Bell) bestie and these two go way back, back as far as when Christine, now a legal eagle, was known as Cricket.

Fans should expect to see the lovely brunette back on Tuesday, March 28.

Meanwhile, it’s time for Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Gina Roma (Patty Weaver) to return to Genoa City, Wisconsin as well.

Gina Roma debuted in 1982 and was last seen in town in 2013. Gina came to Genoa City after a prison stint and asked Danny for help in getting back on her feet. A lot happened in the intervening years including the feisty character running her signature restaurant Gina’s until The Chipmunk Bandit Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) burned it down.

Danny the rock star also has a rich history in GC, including a marriage to Christine. Fans last saw him in December 2022. At that time he reconnected with his son Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) who remains in town.

Another familiar face is back in the form of Barbara Crampton’s character gossip maven Leanna Love. Leanna was once married to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and he is amused that she is at the gala, uninvited. She will be seen on Tuesday, March 28.
