Douglas will appear onscreen later in the month when she portrays Zelda Wilford. Her appearance is planned as part of a special episode honoring the late Abbott family leader and we can’t wait to see this lovely and talented actress as the show continues to do amazing things to honor its 50th anniversary.

In 2017 Douglas appeared on Y&R’s CBS sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, as Sharon.

Now is a terrific time to mention John Abbott as his kids are doing a bang-up job of trying to ruin Jabot and their love lives all at the same time.

Maybe the writers have been leading up to this special tribute episode with all of the Abbott kid shenanigans? That would be about the only reason to have Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) acting as foolish as they have been for weeks.

Frankly, the way each is carrying on is beneath them. Both sibs are at war over the other one’s romantic choices—huh? These are grown up adults who should be able to agree to disagree.

Instead Ashley is plotting a Jabot coup because she’s mad that Jack will marry Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Taking it further, she is now going to marry Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) as payback. Really?

These characters don’t have anything better to do than feud with each other? Have they learned nothing from their years-ago fight in which Jack told Ashley she is a non-blood Abbott, they fought, then made up?

What happened to the mature adults who supported each other? Maybe the John Abbott tribute show will find these two coming to their senses again, otherwise their tired spat is stale rehash, and entirely for naught.
