Y&R Alum Justin Hartley Receives Amazing Career News

The double strikes may have ended, but their combined impacts are still ongoing. Production on several shows were delayed, release dates for the completed ones pushed back, but the saddest of it all, no doubt, was that some shows were axed. However, happily, The Young and The Restless alum Justin Hartley’s new show is not one of them. Here’s what we know so far.

Justin Hartley’s New Show To Open At Super Bowl As Originally Planned

On Sunday, Feb. 11 2024, Justin Hartley’s series “Tracker,” – formerly titled “The Never Game” – will be premiering after the Super Bowl LVIII, despite the strikes throwing a kink in most studios’ plans.

The new drama will see Hartley step into the role of a lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw, who uses his expert tracking skills to aid private citizens and provide assistance to authorities whenever they’re solving unusual mysteries.

In addition to this, he will be trying to manage his fractured family as he roams the country as a “reward seeker.” “Tracker” will be based on the bestselling novel “The Never Game” by Jeffrey Deaver.

This will no doubt be an exciting news for Hartley, who just wrapped his biggest TV role in “This is Us” last year.

“Tracker” Will Be His First big Project Since “This Is Us”

It will also mark the second time Justin Harley has starred in a series that will air after the Super Bowl.

While “Tracker” has been a long time coming – the pilot for “Tracker” has been out in the world for more than two years now – CBS officially ordered the series in December 2022.

Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise, and Fiona Rene will be starring alongside Hartley’s lead character.

“Tracker” will also be kicking off CBS’ 2024 premieres. You can sneak a peek of the brand new show, and Justin Hartley of course, by tuning into the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11.

At least fans can now cancel this show from the list of series that might face cancellation or delays.
