Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is seemingly on a road to redemption, but it’s hard for fans to even trust this character because of all the chaos she’s caused in the past. Everyone deserves a second chance; however, it’s hard not to place her on this “worst moms” list because of all her scheming prior to 2022, plus, the whole “faking her death” thing. She can spin it as many ways as she wants, but the truth is, she never should’ve abandoned Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as a child, in that way.

Y&R Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Causes Way Too Much Drama

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is a mom that will do “anything” for her children but has crossed many negative lines during her time as a mother. First and foremost, faking Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) true paternity was one big no-no. She’s had some nice mom moments; however, her recent stunt has created chaos in her adult children’s lives.

Sure, she wasn’t as bad as Diane (she waited until her kids were grown up before she faked her own death) but coming clean to Summer Newman-Abbott (Alison Lanier) wasn’t only stupid, but selfish. It may make Red feel better, but she’s now created a brand new drama that has her kids in conflict, and Summer’s marriage in jeopardy.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Gloria Abbott Bardwell Is Entertaining, But Has Been An Awful Mom In The Past

It’s always a joy to see Gloria Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman) grace daytime drama scenes, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she is and was a horrible mom in the past. Let’s not forget the abuse that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) endured at the hands of Gloria’s husband Tom Fisher (Roscoe Born).

Not to mention the countless times she encouraged Kevin to scheme as an adult, and how she’s consistently trying to take advantage of her children and their businesses in the little town for her own selfish gain. Gloria’s entertaining to watch but will never get the “mom of the year” award.
