Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes Shares Show That Taught Brazilian Wife English

Luke Grimes plays the role of Kayce Dutton on the hit modern Western series, Yellowstone. However, it was a very different show that taught his beautiful Brazilian wife to speak English. When Bianca Rodrigues first moved to the US she didn’t know any English, but this soon changed due to the popular sitcom, The Office.

Luke Grimes recently explained that his wife, Bianca Rodrigues, moved to the US without knowing a word of English. The beautiful model could only speak Portuguese but soon became fluent in English after watching the hit sitcom, The Office. While viewers across the US love the show and find it hilariously funny, it played a very different role in Bianca’s life as she learned English just by using the subtitles.

“She moved to the States without knowing a word of English,” Grimes told People. “And when I met her, she had only lived here for two years, but she spoke beautiful, fluent English. I was like, ‘How did you learn it so fast?’ And she said, ‘I watched The Office with subtitles.’”

What is Luke doing right now?

During a break from Yellowstone, Grimes is currently starring in the Netflix rom-com Happiness for Beginners with Ellie Kemper. Meanwhile, Kemper played Erin Hannon on The Office from 2009 to 2013. He explained that Rodrigues met Kemper on set when he was filming the movie.

“She got to meet everyone,” he said. “We all hung out on the weekends, and it was great.”

Yellowstone delays

Grimes took on the Netflix movie while Yellowstone is currently on hiatus. Part 2 of season 5 has still not been filmed for a couple of reasons. Initially, production stalled due to problems with Kevin Costner’s (John Dutton) filming schedule. According to reports, Costner will be departing from the show when it does resume.  The other reason for the production delay is the ongoing WGA Writers’ strike which currently has no end in sight.

Meanwhile, Luke is multi-talented as outside of acting, he has launched a music career. In December 2022, the talented country music singer signed a record deal with Mercury Nashville/Range Music. Moreover, in the same month, he also released his first single, No Horse to Ride. Nowadays, Grimes is working on his debut album.

With her ability to learn fluent English from a TV show, and his acting and music skills, Bianca and Luke are both talented people indeed.
