Yellowstone Fans Plead With Kevin Costner As He Snags Another Award

After Yellowstone star Kevin Costner earned another award for the show, fans are begging him not to leave the modern Western series.

While fans wait for part 2 of season 5 to drop on the Paramount Network, the rumors are still swirling, relating to Kevin Costner. However, this week there was good news for the actor who plays the Dutton family patriarch. This comes as Costner snags yet another award for his remarkable performance in the modern Western drama series.

Kevin Costner snags awards for Yellowstone

Back in February, news broke that the Dances With Wolves actor was up for nomination alongside Kelly Reilly at the 2023 Critics Choice Super Awards. This month, Costner can add another award for his part in Yellowstone. On March 16 the news broke that he had won an award for Best Actor in an Action Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie. This led The Bodyguard star to thank everyone in the Critics Choice Association for rewarding him for his work in the hit Paramount Network series.

Costner headed to Instagram on March 19, shortly after Deadline reported the winners. He captioned the post, “Thank you to the @ccsuperawards for the recognition!”

Meanwhile, Yellowstone’s official Instagram also shared a post congratulating Costner for the new award following his 2023 Golden Globes win. In the caption, Yellowstone wrote:

Fans react to Kevin Costner’s latest award

While most Yellowstone fans immediately congratulated the veteran actor for his latest award, others pleaded with Costner not to leave the show. One reacted on the show’s Instagram post, obviously upset by fans’ criticism, writing:

For everyone thats tearing Kevin a new one grow the hell up. He is an amazing actor along with all the amazing actors in this show, and yes they all deserve more recognition. But there wouldnt be a Yellowstone without him. Noone knows whats gonna [sic] happen, but I will always watch because this entire cast is worth it

On Costner’s post, one fan wrote, “Don’t ditch us Kevin!” while another wrote, “Don’t you leave us on Yellowstone yet lol.” Yet another fan wrote, “No one wants you to leave Yellowstone. You fit that role.”

Is Costner leaving Yellowstone?

Despite the fact that Paramount addressed rumors of Costner leaving Yellowstone in February, fans are still anxious. For now, fans of the modern Western drama can catch part 2 of season 5 at some stage in the summer of 2023. Hopefully, by that stage, more news about Costner leaving or staying will be shared with fans.
