Brandon Sklenar is currently starring in the Yellowstone prequel, 1923, and has an interesting ghost story to share with fans.
Actor Brandon Sklenar is currently starring in the Yellowstone prequel, 1923, and recently shared a spooky story. Apparently, while filming the series on the Queen Mary, the actor who plays Spencer Dutton saw a ghost on set.
Speaking to The Wrap, 1923 star Brandon Sklenar opened up about seeing a ghost while filming scenes for season 1 on the Queen Mary. According to him, what he saw would make even skeptics believe it was something supernatural
In the Yellowstone prequel, Sklenar plays Spencer Dutton, the youngest son of James and Margaret Dutton. In the series, he plays a professional hunter who has been preying on dangerous predators in sub-Saharan Africa. Meanwhile, Spencer spends the majority of season 1 traveling back to his family in Montana. His plan is to help them fight greedy and murderous businessmen.
To be able to travel home to America, Spencer has to sail on the RMS Majestic with his wife, Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer). As the filming location, the show used the notoriously haunted ship, the Queen Mary. Meanwhile, notoriously haunted or not, Brandon claims he did see a ghost. Speaking to The Wrap, he said a figure appeared in a photo taken in the ballroom.
It was clear that the 1923 star was excited when talking about the experience. He said the cast and crew had been filming a scene in the Queen Mary’s ballroom, after which a photo was taken of the room. Much to Sklenar’s surprise, the photo, which should have revealed an empty piano, revealed a “white figure” seated on the bench, clearly playing the instrument.
It seems the Yellowstone actor was so taken with the photo of the ghost that he kept it on his phone. According to him, that photo would be mind-blowing to anyone, even those who don’t believe in spooks.
Meanwhile, besides the ghostly adventure, Sklenar also spoke about what it was like to film the rest of season 1 of 1923. He was clearly excited about the future of the series. Because he was in a different filming location, with himself and Schlaepfer on their journey from Africa, they filmed their scenes completely separately from the rest of the cast. In fact, the Vice actor said he had to watch the series as it is released to fill in the gaps between their scenes.
While Sklenar doesn’t have any idea where the show is going, he says he is just as excited as fans to find out. He went on to describe how the co-creator, Taylor Sheridan, is an expert at putting obstacles in the way of his characters. Brandon cannot wait to find out what kind of journey is in store for Spencer once he is in the States. Meanwhile, he can’t wait to film a scene with veteran Hollywood actor Harrison Ford, who plays Jacob Dutton in the prequel.
