Duggar Family news reveals that, according to Starcasm, 19 Kids and Counting fans have stood witness to the evolution of Josh and Anna’s relationship since 2008. When they got hitched, they seemed like a relatively normal and happy couple.
However, that was before Anna learned that Josh was sort of living a double life, apparently one filled with molestation and prostitution as well as child pornography. In 2022, The Sun reported that Josh’s cousin had pleaded with Amy to stop inflicting trauma on herself and her kids by staying with Josh. But Anna wouldn’t budge.
Though anyone else may have put an end to the relationship with a quickness, Anna will probably stay with Josh till the end. In fact, Anna still visits her husband regularly in his Seagoville, Texas federal prison, and also why she’ll probably never divorce him.
The 19 Kids and Counting alum met Anna Keller in 2006 at a homeschooler’s convention for folk who share their strict Christian fundamentalist beliefs. After she told Josh at the time that she wasn’t going to get engaged until she turned 20, Josh waited and asked her to marry him on her 20th birthday.
Having never been with anyone else the pair reportedly shared their first kid at the wedding altar after saying “I do,” in 2008. Despite her husband’s many scandals, Anna has never left his side.
In May 2015 when the first shocker dropped, Josh was accused of molesting several underage girls, many of which were in his own family, when he was 14. Though this had to be terribly unsettling for the whole family, it seemed to be swept under the rug as the family made a series of excuses before claiming he had been rehabilitated. Josh even went so far as to make a public statement via Facebook according to Hollywood Reporter.
Josh’s 2015 Facebook post read: “Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation.
“We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road I would end up ruining my life.”
Shortly after this statement, Duggar’s participation in the “Ashley Madison” leak revealed that Josh had been cheating via multiple dating apps and Josh, once again, begged for forgiveness, writing, “I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example. I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.” And still, Anna remained.
And, in 2021, an investigation discovered that Josh had been downloading child pornography onto his computer. He was tried and convicted and is currently serving a 12-year sentence.
Despite the cheating, the lying, and the child pornography the two seem as inseparable now as they ever have. And, apparently, it’s all for Jesus. The Duggar’s conservative Christian religion does not allow for divorce – especially not one initiated by the wife.
