After months of rumors floating around, it was finally confirmed in March 2023 that the couple was headed for a divorce after Michael filed for one. In addition, he filed for dissolution of marriage with children against his estranged wife. This marks an end to their four-year-long marriage. As per reports, the TLC producers plan on including footage of Michael and Amy’s custody battle to spice up Season 4’s plot line.

TLC cameras were seen all lined up outside the courthouse in Kentucky to capture Amy’s reaction. Although cameras weren’t allowed inside, producers did capture the reality star’s reaction after she exited the court, where she also filed a case of domestic violence against Michael. It is also reported that the mother of two informed the judges that she is filming Season 4 Part 2 over two weeks on and two weeks off arrangement. This was true as cameras were lined up to film Amy walking out of the court.

In the pictures from outside the court, Amanda, Amy, and Chris appeared normal despite the explosive circumstances. Amy was also seen laughing along with Amanda and Chris over a joke they cracked. However, Michael had no plans to show himself on camera or be a part of the TLC show. He was seen exiting the court separately and even tried his best to steer clear of the network’s cameras.

However, Amy also appeared to be irritated as she turned to a corner to smoke and discussed what had happened in the court. As per reports, she was seen talking while waving her arms up in the air in anger with an irritated expression. All this drama was caught on camera for Season 4, Part 2 of the TLC show. Last week, it was reported that Amy had dropped all the domestic violence charges she filed against Michael.
