Will Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar Sue Amazon Prime Video?

The Counting On spoilers suggests that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar could sue Amazon Prime Video. Earlier this month, the official trailer dropped for Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which premieres on June 2. It will expose more secrets behind the famous family and the controversial religious organization, The Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP).

Counting On Spoilers – Could Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar File A Lawsuit?

According to the Counting On spoilers, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar could be bold enough to file a lawsuit. One fan took to Reddit to speculate on what the couple could do after the docuseries comes out. More Duggar family secrets and scandals could come out. This might be the official end of the Duggars as the world knows it.

“Shiny Happy People Lawsuit?” the Redditor asked. “Could [Jim Bob] and [Michelle] sue Amazon for defamation of character, or violation of privacy? [sic]”

There are two possible reasons that Jim Bob and Michelle could sue the streaming service. They could argue that Amazon Prime Video violated their privacy by exposing their family secrets and talking about the religious organization they’re involved with. Or, they could argue that Amazon is dragging the Duggar name through the mud in an attempt to profit off Josh Duggar’s scandals.

Other fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. Most of them don’t believe that Jim Bob and Michelle won’t file a lawsuit. It would bring more attention to the docuseries, which is what they wouldn’t want. They might not even mention it.

Counting On Spoilers – Could the Duggars Lose Their Money?

The Counting On spoilers suggests that the Duggars could lose their money. Some fans already think they’re running out of money — especially in regard to the church. One fan wrote, “I think their lawsuit money is dwindling down fast! There’s no way they could afford to go up against Amazon.” Another one added, “Amazon is up there with Apple and Google with a metric crap ton of lawyers I wouldn’t want to mess with.”

However, that may not stop Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar from trying to sue them. One contrarian feels that they would file a lawsuit since it’s easy to do these days. The user questioned whether Jim Bob and Michelle would actually take it to trial and win their case.

Other fans think Amazon would still win since they got their legalities out of the way before moving forward with the docuseries. What do you think? Will Jim Bob and Michelle sue Amazon Prime Video? Sound off below in the comment section.
