Why Omid Scobie’s Views On Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Dividing The Internet

There’s a lot to unpack from Omid Scobie’s memoir. For many royal fans, he’s still acting as a launching pad forPrince Harry and Meghan’s grudges.

To Scobie, the future heir to the throne can’t wait to become the King, though the said Prince’s friends say he wants to take his time and concentrate on his children.

The future Queen Kate is “lazy” by his accounts, though fans argue that she’s the patron of over 40 organizations, oversees the Early Childhood Foundation, and is a mom to three young children. But yeah, “lazy.”

Omid Scobie On Kate Middleton’s Relationship With Meghan Markle

In “Endgame,” Scobie described the relationship between Princess Kate and Meghan Markle as one that was frosty from the beginning.

In his opinion, it wasn’t Harry and Prince William’s rift that pushed the two royal ladies apart, it was Kate’s dislike for Meghan.

Scobie cited a source as saying that the Princess of Wales has spent “more time talking about Meghan than talking to her.” The source added that Kate jokingly shivers everytime Meghan’s name was brought up.

He also described the Kate Middleton as someone who underwent an extreme change to fit into the Monarchy, so much so that she is now an enigma even to her own self. He claimed she took several “electrocution” classes to sound posh.

On the other hand, he said that the Royal Family’s dislike of Meghan Markle came from the fact that she doesn’t always conform to the rules. He alleged that they wanted her to stick with her duties and not cross any lines.

“They wanted Meghan to just go with everything that was suggested and not create any additional work,” he writes. “It was a combination of her not conforming with how women marrying into the family are expected to behave and certain individuals just being lazy.”

It’s been three years since Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family and yet it seems the press and certain people do not want to move on from it.

Prince William and Princess Kate, along with the rest of the Royal Family, outside of Harry and Meghan, have kept mum about the rifts or anything that led to it.
