For over a year, Y&R fans have lamented that Sharon Collins (Sharon Case) has done nothing but pour coffee and dish out advice from Crimson Lights. Her husband, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), died suddenly from a heart attack behind the wheel of his car and Sharon was in mourning, but barely seen as anything but a glorified extra.

She recently started a new romance with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) but that has been sputtering and not given much attention. Finally, it looks like Sharon is getting back in the thick of things with a new stalker on the loose. First, she received a champagne bottle with a blood stain on the label. Then, her second gift got her guessing right — Cameron Kirsten is back and out for revenge. After all, she did hit him over the head with a champagne bottle in self-defense all those years ago.

Y&R Spoilers – Linden Ashby Is Thrilled To Be Back

Linden Ashby, who is married to Diane Jenkins portrayer Susan Walters, is thrilled to be back on the soap after decades away. However, his return to the soap was delayed by about a year.

“[Executive producer/head writer] Josh Griffith called me last year around this time. He said he’d love to do this storyline, [but] I couldn’t do it,” Ashby told TV Insider. “I was doing a movie and had another one lined up and then, I was going to direct a movie. It didn’t time out. He called again this year. I was like, ‘Yes! It works this year. Let’s talk.’ He told me what he wanted to do. I was like, ‘Sign me up. Let’s give them something to talk about.'”

Ashby also pointed out that Cameron is as bad as ever — because that is the way the actor wanted it.

“Cameron doesn’t play mind games. He hits Genoa City with the accelerator to the floor. I told Josh I’m not interested in seeing Cameron be redeemed. He wants what he wants. I don’t think we’re going to disappoint.”
