She might be the future queen of England, but it seems like not everyone is a huge fan of the Princess of Wales these days.

In fact, Kate Middleton is being called a ‘huge disappointment,’ because of this one thing. While a lot of her fans would tend to disagree, one royal expert believes that Prince William’s wife could be criticized for something that others would perceive as irrelevant. Why is Kate Middleton Being Called A Disappointment?

Apparently, Kate Middleton is being harshly criticized for not following in the footsteps of the late Queen Elizabeth and stepping up her jewelry game.

After all, she is a member of the royal family and as the future queen of England, some people think that Kate should do a better job of accessorizing whenever she’s at her royal engagements and public appearances.

Former Vogue editor Suzy Menkes, who has long been a fan of the royal fashion scene, says that Kate should copy Queen Camilla’s attitude when it comes to her jewelry game. She put it this way,

“The Princess of Wales is a bit of a disappointment about jewelry. She gives the impression that she only puts it on when she absolutely has to. I imagine her looking beautiful in one of those gowns behind the scenes and then pulling a face as if to say, ‘Do I have to wear this?’ She doesn’t give any sense of adoring jewelry and being pleased to put it on.”

The Princess of Wales Is Not A Big Fan Of Jewels

Menkes then added, “She doesn’t seem to have Camilla’s joy at wearing jewelry. We now have a new Queen, so presumably she has a first opportunity to look at the jewels. We can imagine that the next in line to the throne’s wife would be something that was very special, so will we see Catherine wearing jewelry that is more dramatic, that is more personal to her? I don’t know. I can’t help feeling with things of beauty, you either love it or you don’t.”.
