Why Did 90 Day Fiancé Star Asuelu Take Selfies With Hawaiian Police?

90 Day Fiancé star Asuelu might be appearing on the new spinoff, 90 Day: The Last Resort, but he certainly seems happy. While he and Kalani will be experiencing therapy at a luxury resort, Asuelu has been clearly having fun in Hawaii. Even when he was pulled over by the police, he kept a great big grin on his face.

Asuelu recently surprised his fans by posting amusing selfies taken with three Hawaiian police officers after his was pulled over in Honolulu. He was clearly happy with the situation while posing with them and thanking them for their service.

In fact, since Asuelu and Kalani split, the Samoan native is happier and more independent. He has been traveling a lot and spending time with his two sons. Their toxic marriage seems to be a thing of the past, despite the fact that they will appear on The Last Resort.

When Asuelu was pulled over by the police, he decided to take selfies first before finding out what he was doing wrong. Pulaa, 28, has been all smiles in his recent Instagram posts and this was no different. He captioned the smiling post, “3 cops pull me over today,” adding, “Thank you for your service.” Fortunately for Asuelu, the cops also appeared to be happy in the images.

Fans first met Asuelu and Kalani in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé, where they married and settled down. However, after having two boys together, the marriage didn’t work out, leading to them sharing parenting, but not together.

Since then, Asuelu has clearly been having fun and living his best life, including his recent trip to Hawaii. In fact, he has been generally traveling around and making new friends, while succeeding in his career.

Fan responses to the 90 Day Fiancé star’s post were also amusing, with one writing, “Only Asuelu is excited to get pulled over hahaha.” Another joked, “Normal ppl get mad…Asuelu… let’s take a selfie.”

While the 90 Day Fiancé star didn’t respond to the comments, or explain why he was pulled over, all the responses were positive, including comments from co-stars Big Ed Brown, Angela Deem and David Toborowsky

While Asuelu and Kalani’s marriage appears to be over, fans will get to see the couple again on 90 Day: The Last Resort. The new spinoff premieres on August 14, 2023, and also stars, Angela Deem, Big Ed Brown, Molly Hopkins, Yara Zaya and more.
