Who Was Eve Howard On The Young And The Restless

The Young and the Restless is really taking fans on a walk down memory lane this month on the CBS soap.  Eddie Peck Jr. made a shocking return as Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) ex Cole Howard.

But, a lot of Y&R viewers have no idea who he is or who his mother Eve Howard is.  Keep reading for all the details and all new Y&R spoilers.

Eve Howard was actually a huge deal on The Young and the Restless in the 1980’s.  And, rumor has it Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) are her relatives.  Margaret Mason played the part of Eve Howard on the CBS soap from 1980-1984.  Then she returned again in 1993 and was killed off that same year.

Eve Howard was introduced to Genoa City as Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) personal assistant.  It wasn’t long before Eve Howard was assisting him in the bedroom as well.

Of course, she had some major beef with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) over the mustache as well.  Eve even insisted that Cole Howard was Victor’s son, but it was later proven that he wasn’t.

According to Y&R spoilers, Eve was a thorn in the Newman Family’s side in the 1980’s too, at one point Victor even paid her to go away but she came back.

After it was obvious Victor wasn’t going to be with her, Eve concocted a plan to poison and murder the Mustache, and rob him blind.  When that plan fell through, she tried to stab Victor and wound up in a mental hospital.

In 1993 Eve Howard returned to Genoa City and it was revealed she was very ill, she had been bit by a deadly mosquito while traveling.  She spent some time in and out of a coma and then eventually died and a funeral was held.

The Young and the Restless rumor mill is in overdrive this week and some fans are certain that Aunt Jordan is Eve Howard, or a long lost sister of her’s.
