Whitney Way Thore lost her mom Babs and ever since then, she and her family have been trying to come to grips with their grief. Grieving takes different forms for different people, and her dad Glenn and his daughter are getting closer to each other. This week, it was a special occasion and she shared some photos to remember her mom by.

With the loss of Babs, fans expect that the next season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life will focus on the family navigating their new normal. Recently, Glenn and his daughter went overseas and perhaps the old French tutor will resurrect. Whatever happens, Babs is bound to be central to the conversation. Actually, a surprise rumor suggests a secret new brother pops out of the woodwork.

Whitney Way Thore has been sharing a lot of throwback photos of her mom, and fans who loved Babs don’t object. In their own way, they also grieve for her. Taking to her Instagram on the weekend, several photos of Babs with Glenn appeared. They were all taken in the last months of her life after she fell ill with a second stroke. All of them showed Babs’ husband being incredibly sweet and loving. Then in her caption, it said, “Today would have been my parents’ 46 wedding anniversary. I am so lucky to have been raised by two people who not only loved me so well but also loved each other so well.” 

Whitney Way Thore continued by saying:

It was such a gift to watch my dad care for my mom during the last year of her life. My dad always says that any “sacrifices” he made, or that we as a family made, to care for my mom were no big deal because loving her and being loved by her was the reward in itself. And he’s right. We would have gone to the ends of the earth for my mother, but she made everything so easy, just by being her. Happy Anniversary to my dad and my Sweet Mommy Girl. ❤️”
