The user Fun-Shame399 posted on Reddit: “Who do you think signed the contract? I’m listening to Counting the Cost and she mentioned that the contract was presented to all the older siblings, who do you think took the money signed?”

Only the older Duggar kids were offered $80,000 in exchange for signing a contract. The conditions included a lifetime NDA and payment for future shows that would be given with no negotiation.

The older siblings also had to be available for all tapings of 19 Kids and Counting for up to seven years. However, that could be changed for an unlimited number at the discretion of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.

“How can the adult children sign the rights of their own children’s likeness and availability to their grandparents EVEN IF THE CHILD IS NOT CONCEIVED as of yet? This is literally the enslavement of the grandchildren,” one fan noted.

According to the Counting On spoilers, Jinger Duggar did sign the contract, but only after Jim Bob tweaked it.

In her book, she admitted that she was relieved when the show was canceled. Jeremy and Jinger didn’t want to put their kids on the show. The contract obligated her and her kids to film.
