It was in 2019 that Todd and Julie’s legal troubles came to light with their problems dominating headlines. Before long, viewers became more concerned about the family’s legal woes than the lighter storyline that Chrisley Knows Best always put forth.

Since the couple went to their respective prisons, hundreds of miles apart, another reality TV star has come forward to discuss the Chrisleys’ situation. And it’s simply strange how the two seemingly dissimilar reality stars would find their way to become acquaintances.

While it is true that reality stars from separate shows often meet while working for the same network, with Real Housewives cast members from different versions of the franchise becoming friends, the fact that Todd Chrisley and Abbey Lee Mill interacted ahead of his prison sentence is a little bit surprising. Millers’ series, Dance Moms was a Lifetime brainchild while Chrisley Knows Best is a product of the USA Network.

Abbey Lee Miller recently spoke to The Sun US about Todd Chrisley explaining that he emailed her before he and his wife went to prison. He apparently shared some details with the reality TV star about his situation.

According to The Sun, she said she enjoyed watching Chrisley Knows Best and had reached out to Chrisley via social media on occasion. She said, “I used to DM him all the time, and he never responded. Never responded. Then, all of a sudden, I get this big, long email saying, ‘I didn’t know people could send me messages. I never looked at these DMs. I didn’t even know what this is about. I’m so sorry I never got back to you.’

“Well, he was always going on about financial institutions and people that were coming after him, his local government – always talking about that, which I found odd.” She also gave her opinion on how Julie and Todd Chrisley would fare in prison. She said, “Todd is not going to be able to handle, you know, the soap and the cheap generic shampoo and conditioner and the food because he’s a little posh. [But] Julie, she’ll be just fine.”
