What Happened To Lucky Spencer On General Hospital?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans often wonder if Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is ever going to make a comeback to the land of Port Charles. After all, he has plenty of roots in the little town.

As the offspring of super couple Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Luke Spencer (Tony Geary), his dad might have passed, but his mom is the mayor of the little town and could certainly use her son’s support right now.

Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) is off galivanting in Europe and her daughter Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) is still in a coma.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucky Spencer’s History

Lucky first entered storylines in 1993 along with his parents when the trio returned to town. The character was originally played by Jonathan Jackson at that point but in 2000, actor Jacob Young was recast in the part, until 2003, when actor Greg Vaughan took on the role.

Jackson would eventually come back in 2009 until 2011, also returning for a brief run in 2015.

In addition to his mom, his ex-wife and long-time love, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) still resides in the little town, raising her three sons, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), Jake Spencer (Hudson West), and Aiden Spencer (Enzo De Angelis). While all three boys consider Lucky their dad, Aiden is his only biological child out of the three.

GH Spoilers – Lucky Spencer’s Exit

After Jake’s ‘death’ in 2011, Elizabeth and Lucky faced a ton of problems in their relationship. Lucky got hooked on drugs, while Liz faked mental instability to keep him.

She even checked herself into the Shadybrook facility. When Lucky found out she had lied about this, he decided to leave town.

He resurfaced in June 2015, and was an integral part of rescuing Jake from Cassadine Island, revealing the young boy was actually alive.

He left Port Charles once again, shortly after that and it was mentioned by Lulu in 2016 that Lucky is now helping refugees and orphans in Africa.
