Trailer’s Out For Yellowstone Boss Sheridan’s New Series Special Ops: Lioness

The first trailer has dropped for Yellowstone creator, Taylor Sheridan’s new series Special Ops: Lioness. The series famously stars Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña as CIA agents. In the series, their characters are members of a CIA anti-terrorism squad. Meanwhile, iconic actor, Morgan Freeman, plays their boss. Special Ops: Lioness cast members

Fans of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s work will soon get to watch the first episode of one of his latest potential hit series. Special Ops: Lioness stars Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña star as members of a CIA anti-terrorism squad. Saldaña’s character, Joe, is a key operative in the CIA’s Lioness Program. Moreover, the program identifies the wives and daughters of high-value targets. It then places an operative close to them and then kill the target.

Meanwhile, Laysla De Oliviera (Locke & Key) is in the role of Cruz, a marine recruited to operate undercover with Joe. Moreover, they operate under the watchful eyes of Donald Westfield (Michael Kelly) and Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman). As for their boss, Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman plays the role.

Trailer drops for new Paramount+ series

While careful plans are underway, it is clear from the new trailer that not everything is going as it should. In the trailer, Freeman says, “We’re just going to pretend that a CIA quick-reaction force did not execute a kill mission in front of CBS News?”

Special Ops: Lioness joins the growing list of Taylor Sheridan series on Paramount+, all of which have been hits so far. Fans will recall that besides Yellowstone, Sheridan launched the Yellowstone prequels, 1923 and 1883, along with Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King and Mayor of Kingstown.

Meanwhile, the latest addition to the title “Special Ops” leaves the door open for more series in the same world. Sheridan did the same with 1883, by making the offshoot Lawmen: Bass Reeves, with plans to tell the story of more iconic lawmen. Moreover, along the way, Sheridan casts one Hollywood icon after another.

Cast members’ reactions

As noted by Heavy, Hallmark Channel and Great American Family actress, Jill Wagner also stars in the series. She shared the trailer for Special Ops: Lioness to her Instagram, captioning the post, “Wagner shared the trailer on her Instagram page and wrote:

Meanwhile, Saldaña also shared the trailer on her Instagram, with the caption: “From creator Taylor Sheridan, @SpecialOpsLioness Premieres July 23rd, exclusively on @ParamountPlus. #LionessPPlus.”

As for Nicole Kidman, she also shared the trailer on Instagram, captioning with the words, “We all have something to protect … will you join us? @SpecialOpsLioness premieres July 23, exclusively on @ParamountPlus #LionessPPlus.”
