Todd And Julie Chrisley – Not On Speaking Terms

In January, Todd and Julie Chrisley started their respective prison sentences. Todd is serving 12 years in Pensacola, Florida, while Julie is doing seven years in Lexington, Kentucky.

Chase sat down for an exclusive interview with Extra about his parents’ prison sentencing. He admitted that they hadn’t spoken to each other in 200 days.

He calls it a “tough” situation “because my mom and dad are obsessed with each other.” They don’t often go a day without speaking.

However, Todd and Julie are doing the best they can during this time. Chase also called out the “awful” prison conditions.

“They’re hanging in there. It’s a terrible situation,” Chase Chrisley said in his interview with Extra. “The conditions are awful, and if you read all these headlines, they say the polar opposite, but it is not the truth and we’re going to be spreading a lot of awareness to that as well.”

He confirmed that both of them don’t have running a/c in prison. They’re also breathing in “black mold” and “lead-based paint.” In addition to that, the roof is falling down at both prison camps.

Chase Chrisley – Talks About New Reality Series

Chase Chrisley shared the reason why they wanted to return to reality television. He felt that it was important to get the public involved in their personal life.

He would rather have his family tell their story than have the media make money on “lies” about them.

“But honestly, I think our message from the first show to this show as a family has never changed,” Chase Chrisley shared. “We want to give people hope. We want to show people that terrible things can happen. But if you can stick together, lean on your faith, lean on each other, then you can get through it. And that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Todd and Julie Chrisley aren’t allowed to speak during their respective prison sentences. According to their lawyers, they don’t communicate at all since they can only make phone calls to the outside world.

They can communicate by email, but that’s not an option for them. Does it surprise you that Todd and Julie aren’t on speaking terms? Sound off below in the comment section.
