The Young And The Restless’s Vail Bloom Weighs In On Her Big Genoa City Return

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Heather Stevens returning to the Genoa City scene soon — played by the same actress who played her the last time around.

While Daniel Romalotti (Michael Gazieadei) is not happy that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) goes behind his back and talks to Heather Stevens about making amends with him, whatever his mother says to Heather does the trick because she is set to return to GC any day now with Daniel’s teenage daughter, Lucy.

When she does make her GC comeback, she will see that Daniel is making a few changes in this life. First, he is starting a new gaming business venture, and he is also growing closer to his first wife, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). And, he wants Lily to work with him on the project.

Actress Vail Bloom will be reprising the role of Heather whom she played from 2007-2010 and told the February 13, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest that there were some signs that she would end up on Y&R again before the show even called her about coming back.

“There were little wonderful signs from the universe,” She said. I bumped into Michelle Stafford and I haven’t seen her for so long and we were so excited to talk and catch up by the tonic bar in the middle Erehwon [market],” she said. “And then I kept bumping into Jennifer Gareis from The Bold and the Beautiful, which shoots across the hall from Y&R.”

Bloom also said she didn’t even have to think about it when the soap called and made her an offer. She was told it was for the 50th anniversary and that sold her. “I immediately felt nostalgic and pride for an institution that’s been around this long.”

So far, she loves working with young Lily Brooks O’Briant, who will be debuting as Heather. “She’s such a doll…she’s a real professional, and has that 13-going-on-30 vibe going. She’s very friendly, confident, humble, and respectful.”
